Home Care Preferred Social Enterprise, founded by Ken Waterhouse, was established to manage and operate the Firs Farm Community Hub. As the primary operators, the Social Enterprise works closely with both the Café Operators and the Friends of Firs Farm to ensure the hub thrives as a welcoming community space.

Community Focused

Dedicated to bringing the community together, the Social Enterprise has played a key role in hosting a wide range of events—health awareness days, charity fundraisers, and social gatherings. Ken’s passion for music has also led to performances at the hub from both local talent and internationally recognised artists.

Looking ahead, Home Care Preferred Social Enterprise aims to further expand its programme of community-focused events.

Award Winning Care

Home Care Preferred provides high-quality care and support for people living in their own homes throughout the borough of Enfield.

Our office, located within the Firs Farm Community Hub, gives us the ideal space to welcome new clients and families while staying connected with those we already support.

Alongside our home-care services, we are committed to enriching the wider community. We regularly take part in charity events, deliver first aid training, and host awareness sessions on conditions such as dementia and Parkinson’s disease. We also offer dedicated support for individuals with neurodiverse needs.

Established in 2012, Home Care Preferred has earned multiple awards over the years and is registered with the CQC, holding a “Good” rating.
